We’ve featured Canadian folk band The McDades a few times and I’m always impressed by their music – I’m pleased to say they’re back with new song, The Empress.

The Empress is another Celtic infused folk song with the main melody being provided by a pretty flute melody. The song is fairly upbeat until the bridge when it all slows down a little, with the tension slowly ramping up again until the flute melody kicks back in. It’s an interesting listen and those into their more traditional folk music should love this!
