Boston, USA-based singer songwriter Jodi Heights first came to my attention at the beginning of this year thanks to her uniquely wonderful pop track White Knight. Since then she’s been all over our pages, with three subsequent single releases. It was only a matter of time before we had her on again, this time through her beautifully ethereal track Aurora.

Aurora is driven by harp. It lays a melodic landscape on which Jodi’s vocals can play. She’s really able to let her range show in this track, unburdened by an over-abundance of instrumentals. I found myself deeply connected with her voice and the story of her lyrics. Aurora just might be her best track yet, and that’s a high bar to clear.
