Jozem is a Toronto, Canada-based singer songwriter and producer who has just caught my attention through his cinematic new track and video Foreign.

With the track, Jozem intends to give us pause for thought. It’s a meditative few minutes where we can be free of other distractions and take stock of where we are and where we want to be. As such, it’s suitably serene, with gentle ambient layers and Jozem’s own delicate and expressive vocals. A heartbeat-like drumbeat gives a sense of the visceral and emotive too.
Foreign is the lead single taken from Jozem’s self produced debut album it came to me in a dream, which is out now. It’s an exciting introduction to his world. You can watch the music video below.
