We’ve been featuring Louisiana, USA-born, London-based Americana singer songwriter Kate Ellis on our blog since the Autumn of 2021 and she never fails to excite with each new release. Her latest is a bittersweet exploration of love, penned by long-time collaborator Tom Hackwood. It’s called Other Side of The Street.

While the original version of Other Side of the Street was an introspective indie song, Kate has transformed it into an upbeat country ballad. She has certainly infused the story with a great deal of vibrancy and warmth, and its lyrical story is utterly engrossing.
The track features on Kate’s second album Spirals which is out now digitally and set for a vinyl release on 24 February. You can watch the video for Other Side of the Street below.
