Filip Dahl was one of our most played artists of last year, and for good reason, as his own brand of instrumental rock is stunning to behold.
By Jane Howkins
A View of a Distant Place starts out a little different from the other songs we’ve known and loved by this artist, as it takes quite a while for the lead guitar to kick in. Instead, Filip creates a fantastic build-up consisting of an array of strings and acoustic guitars, making for an evocative experience overall. The electric guitar makes an appearance later on, but it’s done in a subtle manner. If you liked Filip’s previous work, why not check out the video below?
