Julia Sole is a Utrecht, Netherlands-based alternative rock act who has caught my attention thanks to her single Youth, newly released via Heavy Moon Records.

Always masked on stage, Julia Sole uses the accessory as a shield against judgement, and it’s that kind of metaphor you get with her sound. Youth incorporates classic rock elements, giving them a modern and experimental twist. Lyrically it looks at humanity from the outside in, and nostalgically explores carefree, younger days.
Julia Sole has such a fresh approach to music and song writing. I’m so excited to have discovered her and can’t wait to hear what she does next.
