The Lunar Keys are a Guildford-based rock band who have been making regular appearances on our blog since we first covered them at the end of 2021. Their latest is a track that Jane’s shared before for us, but I thought it so good it needed another shout out. It’s called Maniac.

For recent releases, The Lunar Keys have been putting out music in support of good causes, and Maniac will be pledging cash to the The Royal Surry County Hospital in their hometown, a place who recently operated on their guitarist, The Steve.
As far as the music goes, Maniac is a swaggering piece of indie rock, with touches of The Police about it, and Gothic undertones. Lyrically it speaks of a social predator, who exploits your vulnerabilities and gaslights. The smouldering anger is beautifully emoted.
