New York, USA-based Faerie is an artist to whom I keep returning, having discovered her music for the blog in 2021. Her latest is the story of toxicity following the end of a relationship. It’s called champagne tears.

Some people love drama, and those are the kind of people that populate champagne tears. There’s a richness to its instrumental arrangement, which can be loosely-described as folk but that doesn’t give the full idea of the range of influences going on. For a song about drama, it’s incredibly relaxing, not least because of Faerie’s utterly mesmerising vocals.
Champagne tears is yet another reason to fall in love with Faerie’s musical world. I get more excited about it with each new release. I hope you will be too. You can check out the track below.
