The One is a pop song with elements of indie and folk also present, making for quite a nice mix. It’s catchy from the very start, as the guitars and bass mix perfectly with the percussion to make something that will get stuck in your head straight away. Everything seems perfectly produced – it’s clean, yet it’s not overdone. Tom has a fantastic singing voice, sounding absolutely gorgeous when mixed in with the more folky backing vocals. The chorus elevates things even further, adding an anthemic sense to the music.
