New Music: Wax Owls – Bring the Rain

American indie rock band Wax Owls are back with another anthemic song, this time in the form of Bring the Rain.

By Jane Howkins

Bring the Rain was written about a friend’s descent into addiction, adding a very poignant meaning to the track. It’s characterised by a pretty piano melody, providing a lovely chordal base before the rest of the music appears. The track has that classic nostalgic feel most of Wax Owls’ songs tend to have, but it’s even more beautiful than the other songs I’ve ever heard. You can really feel the emotion in the vocals as they sing the melancholic lyrics – find out for yourselves below!
