Viscula are a London-based band with Ukrainian origins. I’ve become quite familiar with their work since I first covered it in 2021, and I even posed them a few questions in an interview last month. Their latest gives us a completely different side to their sound and it’s called When I Go To Find You.
By Graeme Smith
When I Go To Find You was recorded in 2015 in the city of Xiamen, in China. Viscula were based in the country at the time, playing clubs and festivals, and created an EP called Never Be The Same with the help of Beijing sound engineer LinXyan Lv, who did the mastering.
We know Viscula as a rock band but When I Go To Find You sees them move into the world of pop, with delicate vocals and a driving dance beat. It’s just more evidence that Viscula are a band who always have a surprise up their sleeve for you. You can give the track a listen below.
