Kiss Hello are a Los Angeles, USA-based alternative rock band led by Linus Landucci. Linus released his first album in 2018 but has only just come to my attention thanks to the opening track from his third album Feelings Will Follow. It’s called Death by Misadventure.

There’s a bit of a throwback feel to Death by Misadventure. It takes its influences from the likes of Talk Talk, Prefab Sprout and MGMT. Yet, there’s also something innovative and contemporary about it, deploying a heady array of instrumental layers that envelop you. Its crowning glory are its smooth yet distorted vocals that inject the track with a mix of optimism and heartbreak.
