Joshua Radin is an artist that should need no introduction – he’s been on the folk scene for a while now, and his music just keeps getting better and better! He has a new album out soon, titled though the world will tell me so, and I’m very excited to hear it! If you are too, then this interview is a must read.

You recently released a single titled Man Of The Year. How has the reception to the song been so far, and where can the song be purchased?
So far everyone I’ve played it for has really enjoyed it. It’s available wherever people listen to music.
Do you plan to release any more singles in the near future?
I’m sure I’ll keep writing and releasing songs.
You also have a collection of songs coming out soon, titled though the world will tell me so, Vol 1 + 2. What can you tell us about the release?
7 out of 10 have been released already. The next few are coming out soon. I hope people enjoy them because I worked really hard on them.
Are there any plans to release a new album after the release of the collection?
Not yet. I have to write it first.
Your music has an indie folk sound. What/who influences you most as an artist? What have you been listening to recently?
Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Bill Withers… The list is endless but these are the artists I’ve been listening to the most often.
Do you have anything else exciting coming up this year?
Travelling, writing, reading, seeing friends and family and then touring the US in the fall.
As an artist, you’ve been on the music scene for decades. What is the secret to your longevity?
I make sure to never burn myself out. I take breaks when needed to re-fill the well.
Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?
I just finished a UK tour about a month ago.
