The Alarm Announce Holmfirth Show

Mike Peters and THE ALARM have announced a full-band show in Holmfirth for summer 2023.

Heading to the Picturedrome on 17 August, the show will follow the release of a new album FORWARDS (out 2 June).
Described by U2’s Bono as “the second greatest rock and roll band in the world”, The Alarm formed in Wales and released their debut single Unsafe Building in 1981, fusing a daring mix of amped-up acoustic guitars, harmonica and passionate vocals described by reviewers as “Bob Dylan meets The Clash”

The sound of The Alarm has been heard across the globe ever since, with 17 Top 50 singles in the UK, a host of successful albums and over six million record sales worldwide.

In 2022, The Alarm celebrated their 40th anniversary with the release of the Repeating History Anthology, but unfortunately had their world tour cut short when Mike Peters suffered a leukaemia relapse. Mike continued to write new music throughout and, once strong enough, led the alarm back into the studio to record forthcoming album Forwards.

Having made a comeback this year to perform for the first time since Peters’ return to health, The Alarm have already played a string of sold out shows including an anniversary show at St David’s Hall in Cardiff.
