American band Listening Party have a sound steeped in the folk and Americana traditions, creating a genuine sound full of soul.

Same Ol’ Problems’ is emotive from the start, opening with a full-bodied guitar melody and some lovely piano chords, accentuated at times by a subtle harmonica melody. The vocals suit the style of music well, having a raw quality and a country twang. They’re very soulful though, adding to the ambience of the piece. The song takes on a faster tempo at times, creating a cool change in pace, before dropping back down to a slower vibe. Listening Party are certainly ones to watch – check them out here:
