Bartosz Lasecki is a Polish-American composer currently based in Los Angeles. He’s just come to my attention thanks to the lead single from his upcoming debut album <an>android/among.the<clouds>. It’s called II. Nimbostratus.

II. Nimbostratus opens pleasingly ambient before developing into an expressive and eerie arrangement. As the name suggests, there’s something airy about it all, but running through the composition is something a little more down to earth too. Humanity meets the artificial in an intriguing combination. The more you listen, the further the piece draws you in. It’s neoclassical music, but not as we know it.
Bartosz’s upcoming album is set for release in January 2024 and promises a journey. I can’t wait to go on it! I hope you’ll agree.
