As well as the obvious country elements, Long Way Back to Town also includes moments of rock, folk, Americana and the blues, making for the perfect mix of styles. Little guitar flourishes tail off from the main instrumentation, creating a gorgeous backbone to this wonderfully nostalgic country rocker. The vocals are the real focal point of the tune though, singing with an impassioned sound, really making you feel everything contained within the lyrics.
