It’s been several years since we last shared new music from Rod Coote, so Blue Lake is very welcome here!

For those unaware, the Australian artist creates beautiful pieces of folk music, and Blue Lake is of no exception. It’s pretty mellow at times, opening with a pretty fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody, with some faint drums, a piano and a banjo appearing later on. Rod’s voice works wonders here – his range is fantastic and you can really feel the emotion within his soulful vocals. The chorus is particularly beautiful, so make sure you give the track a go below:
