Stone Mile are a Manchester-based pop-rock band who have just hit my radar through the release of their latest single.

Though new to us, the band, consisting of Rae Mitchell on lead vocals, Ryan Cook on bass and backing vocals, Robbie Beckwith on rhythm guitar, Scott Dewey on lead guitar, and Gordon Shearer on drums, have been going since 2021. They’ve released three singles previously and are making waves on the Manchester live scene.
They’ve also caught the attention of BBC Introducing, BBC Manchester and Absolute Radio, and played in front of 4,500 people at the the Joie Stadium when Manchester City played Liverpool in the Women’s Super League.
Their sound is certainly one that can fill stadiums and new single Out There Somewhere gives us some emotional storytelling underpinned by a lively groove. You’ll be dancing and feeling along, especially during a vibrant chorus where it all gets ramped up to the stratosphere.
