Anna Elyse is a Newport Beach, California, USA-based singer, songwriter and producer who has just come to my attention thanks to her latest single release, Horses Running.

A poet at heart, Anna graduated from UCLA with a concentration in Creative Writing, and you can hear her love for words in her music. Her latest single explores the story of a situation exploding, and being powerless to stop it doing so. Though that sounds dramatic, ultimately it has a peaceful message about letting go of the things you can’t control, and that’s beautifully backed by a stripped-back and rich electronic-acoustic arrangement.
Anna is now releasing her own music in the singer-songwriter genre but in the past she’s featured on some lauable hip-hop albums, including Logic’s Under Pressure, The Incredible True Story and No Pressure.
