If you’ve been eagerly awaiting your Lewis Bolland fix, you’ll be happy to listen to his new piece, Waltz 28.

By Jane Howkins

As you might expect from a piece with this title, Waltz 28 is a waltz. Lewis’ music often leans more towards the neoclassical scene than the classical style, but on Waltz 28, he shows himself to be a complete master of his art, creating a piece of music with an old school classical sound. The strings are the real show-stealers here, rushing through the track with great aplomb, making the piece sound incredibly beautiful. The piano is lovely too, picking the pace up towards the end as it trickles in a glorious way.
