With thiry-five releases since the end of 2020, Frank Joshua is probably the most prolific artist we’ve covered on our blog.

Yet it’s never a case of quantity over quality with Frank. Each new track or album is well-thought-out and distinct, making Frank a wonderfully unique artist who’s always welcome back to our pages.
Joining forces with producer, pianist and guitarist Tony White (who he found in the yellow pages), Frank creates the kind of timeless alternative pop that fans of the Pet Shop Boys, George Michael and Marc Almond will appreciate.
Their new album Turn To Your Soul is a dedication to the art of self-reliance, personified by its title track. A wistful number, we get a soft and mellow instrumental paired with expressive vocals. The lyrics are encouraging, acknowledging pain and urging the listener to hold on. A powerful, soulful chorus then provides catharsis.
Alongside the newly released title track, we also hear You Are All I Need for the first time. It’s a vibrant dance number, with a compelling groove and romantic message. Old school flair meets something a little more bleeding edge in one of the album’s highlights.
Also featuring on the album are previously released singles Wonderful You, Bluebell Wood, Patent Leather Car, Seeking To Hide, Millionaire, Winter Cowboy, Victim, On This Night and Kiss, all of which have been shared on our pages. Collectively, they show the range of styles of which Frank is capable, giving us moods that range from the mysterious to the airy to the gentle to the melancholic. What runs through them all is a relatable sense of emotion.
I’ve made no secret of my love for Frank Joshua’s unique sound and this full-length seals the deal. It’s great to revisit his recent singles, discover new tracks, and relish in their varied coherence. Frank and Tony have created magic.
Frank’s not planning a let up in his release schedule. A fourth album is already in the plan for release later this year.
