Holy Høly combines classical and lo-fi with her uncommon new track

Real name Ewa Baran, Holy Høly features on our pages for the first time with her unconventional, genre-blending new track Common.

By Graeme Smith

Right from its dreamy and unexpected intro, you know you’re in for something different with Common. Jazzy, trippy electronica supports vocals that float over it all, beautifully expressive as they deliver a melancholic, emotional tale. As the track progresses, it find a psychedelic groove before a vibrant saxophone solo brings it fully to life.

Common was composed by Ewa who also performs the piano, bass, synths and vocals. She’s joined by Kafiristan on saxophone and drums, and Szymon Nożyński on samples. It’s out now via Cultural Bridge and you can check it out below.
