Arthur Squawks! is a London, UK and Athens, Greece-based artist, research collective and art-rock band fronted by Adrianos Pandis. Their debut album Hospital is set for release 3 October this year and is slated as a mixed media concept telling the story of Adrianos’s experience of a cancer ward in Athens.
Their latest track Down teases the album with a story of a carer that is themselves in need of care. Its pleading story is backed by a jazzy rock instrumental that somehow feels both brooding and lively. You’ll be nodding and feeling along through simmering verses and punchy choruses before an unexpected dreamy interlude takes things in a classic rock direction.
