Written at an existential crossroads in her life, British singer songwriter Emma Miller has unveiled her upcoming EP Artifacts with new single, Downstairs.

Emma’s music has been appearing on our blog since 2020 when she caught my attention thanks to her team up with Scott Colcombe, Merry Go Round. This year, I’ve also shared her tracks Just A Feeling and Sick & Tired.
Her latest single Downstairs will feature alongside Just A Feeling on her new EP, written at a time when she was choosing whether to chase her dreams or retreat to the safety of the mundane and always wonder ‘what if?’ A sense of conflict burns right through the track from its pensive opening piano to Emma’s emotive vocals and its rumbling drums.
Downstairs was produced with Dave Holden and developed by Lucas Mendes. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
