A power-pop band led by the eponymous songwriter Linda, The Linda Brady Revival perform indie rock that reflect the world around them, as well as what Linda sees within herself. This is their first appearance on our blog.

While certainly a rock band, they’re not cut from the conventional cloth, and The Barkers may be their most out there track of them all. Running to over seven minutes, it tells a story that takes its time unfolding. It was Linda’s lyrics that really captured my attention, rich with storytelling and a cynical edge.

Linda has early onset Parkinson’s and it was this experience that inspired her to release her second album, Deep Brain Stimulator, named for the actual device in her head. The album is out now. You can give The Barkers, which is taken from it, a listen below.
