Discovery: Idle Lane bring the feels with new single

Rock band Idle Lane catch our ear with emotional and grungy new track, Feet on the Fire.

By Graeme Smith

Canadian rockers hailing from Victoria, British Colombia, Idle Lane takes up the baton from ’70s and ’90s alternative rock acts such as Jane’s Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, Cream and The Beatles. Its line-up consists of prodigious talents who have been writing and performing music since a young age. They’ve been going since 2021 and have just hit our radar.

Their latest single, Feet on the Fire, is about life after heartbreak and has a suitably longing feel to it. A stripped-back and simmering opening verse brings the emotion before we get some catharsis through some heavy, grungy riffs. The track balances loud and quiet as it progresses while the vocals stay passionate throughout. Things end big with some delicious guitar licks.

Feet on the Fire is out now and you can give it a listen below.
