Ooberfuse‘s new collaborative single and video celebrates the true meaning of Christmas.
By Graeme Smith
A songwriting duo consisting of Hall St John and Cherrie Anderson, Ooberfuse has appeared once before on our blog. In October 2024, I shared their World Mental Health day collaboration with Abdel Tchatchet, Show Me Love.
Their latest track is also a team up, seeing them join forces with renowned, Bethlehem-based Palestinian-Jordanian artist Lina Sleibi for a poignant Christmas song, Believe in Love.
With Lina experiencing conflict first-hand in the West Bank, the message of the track is that all we need to light up the world is love. There’s a delicateness to its composition with Cherrie’s breathy vocals getting things going before Lina comes in for the second verse.
Believe in Love was made in collaboration with music producer and RJ Music company owner John Handal who Ooberfuse met on a pilgrimage to Bethlehem. It’s out now and you can check out its beautiful video below.
