Pianist and singer songwriter JILIAAN lands on our playbill courtesy of the first single release from her debut EP. It’s called Love Like a Movie.

Love Like a Movie sees her deploying her signature blend of classical and pop, turning a Chopin Nocturne into a pop ballad. The track captures the emotion of leaving people and places behind, and the excitement of a new chapter, in her case a move from London to Berlin.
The track starts in stripped-back and contemplative style with isolated piano before JILIAAN’s ghostly, expressive vocal comes in. As the first verse progresses, the instrumental become subtly more complex and cinematic before we arrive at a chorus that could easily work as a Bond theme.
