Leeds-based multi-instrumentalist Alexander Fletcher, who performs as The Hope The Fear, first featured on our blog in January 2025 through his indie pop rock anthem, Fall Right At The Start. Now he’s back with a new single.

Take A Little Time shows the softer side of The Hope The Fear’s sound. A rousing intro gives way to a stripped-back verse in which Alexander’s vocals shine. Visceral lyrics encourage us to go easy on ourselves, and things become bright and uplifting in the chorus.
The Hope The Fear has a sound that’s very easy to love, and it’s definitely a bonus that he’s flying the flag for Yorkshire.
