It was in 2019 that Levi Lights On Project first graced these pages, but it’s fair to say we’ve lost connection with them since. Happily, that’s all changed with their new single, The People Awake.

Opening ghoulish, there’s an immediate sense of atmosphere in The People Awake. Things grow dramatically when charismatic vocals come in. They deliver philosophical lyrics against a dark groove. As the track progresses, it becomes increasingly hypnotic and soulful, finally arriving at a lingering close.
There really isn’t anyone else out there doing what Levi Lights On Project is doing so it’s great to rediscover them again after all these years. Hopefully, they won’t be off our radar again for long.
