An ironic ode to blissful ignorance, More Dumb is the new anthem from DURRY.
By Graeme Smith
More Dumb is an anthemic, quirky indie rock track that is rich with poetry in its lyrics and packs an emotional punch. The vocals are perfectly passionate in the chorus as they ironically speak of trying to find ignorant bliss. Things build nice to a barnstorming finish.
The track is accompanied by a playful, puppet-filled video which adds an element of surreal humour to proceedings.
“Sometimes being less aware of the world around you feels kinda nice,” says Austin Durry on the lyrics of the new single. “Sometimes the big picture can freak you out and it’s good to take a step back. If ignorance is bliss, then I wish I could get a little more dumb.”
As well as appearing on these pages before, DURRY has had previous support from BBC Radio 1, Radio X, Rolling Stone, Live Nations Ones to Watch, the Sunday Express, Louder and more.
DURRY’s new album This Movie Sucks is set for release 27 June 205 via Thirty Tigers.
