Passionate vocals provide the hook for a track that goes hard with its pop rock. A soaring chorus is a stand out, emphasised by the stripped-back feel of the verse. The track rises and falls nicely throughout, but never loses its emotional energy thanks to Janzen’s voice. It’s one that will stick with you.
Janzen wrote the song with Jon Class in the summer of 2024. In the middle of a quarter life crisis, she was “trying to figure out what to do with the constant tornado happening in my chest.” She describes the track poetically as “a funeral for my younger self.”
