Torrio’s new single Snakes is a mesmerising, magnetic take on hip-hop. It’s coiling tension and dark, smoky soundscape is gripping, eerie, and dynamic.

Silky smooth, effortless female vocals, dangerously delivered, are elegant and refreshing among sharp, biting verses from Torrio. Laced with Shakespearian imagery, the lyrics are gritty and thought-provoking.
Percussive, the rapped lines keep pace – the rhythm is steely, chasmic, and alive – all contributing to that addictive hypnotic effect. Warning listeners about deception and betrayal, Torrio fights back against deceit with a venomous attitude.
The track has a ‘90s hip-hop backbone but feels completely new. Atmospheric and hook-heavy, there are endless motifs for listeners to latch on to, demonstrating Torrio’s masterful ability to create multi-dimensional, seductive music.
Snakes is out now and you can give it a listen below.
