You never quite know what to expect with Estella Dawn. Don’t get me wrong, her music is always fantastic, but she’s very good at genre-bending, with new single Can You Believe being an alt-pop song of sorts, albeit with a folky quality.

Can You Believe features a gorgeous strummed acoustic guitar as the main point of instrumentation – the chords may seem simplistic at first, but they’re highly effective, also adding to the catchy rhythm of the piece. The chorus raises things up slightly, with some faint synths introduced in the background (listen hard and you’ll hear them!), but the main focus of the music itself remains on the guitar and rhythm section. Estella has a really stunning voice and it sounds as effective as ever on Can You Believe, really making you feel everything this incredibly musician is singing about in her lyrics.
