Fritz Michel is something of a Renaissance man. After graduating from the prestigious Yale University, he’s had careers as an environmental journalist, as well as an actor, director and producer across Broadway and film.

Yet we’re discovering him as a musician and frontman to the New York, USA-based rock act Young Allies. They’ve just released their debut EP, Fingers Entwined.
It’s a rock record with a classic feel. We get country-style storytelling, harmony-rich choruses, and pleasing guitar solos throughout. Alongside original works, there is also a spirited cover of Chuck Berry’s You Never Can Tell. The track, made famous by the film Pulp Fiction, may well be a nod to Michel’s cinematic background.
