Shed Seven will headline York’s LNER Community Stadium on Saturday 29 May 2027, in what is billed as the biggest headline show of the band’s career.
The hometown date will take place a stone’s throw from Huntington, where the band met and went to school. Special guests will be The Ks, Reverend and the Makers and The Mersey Beatles, and frontman Rick Witter calls it “a proper full-circle moment”.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 23 October via Ticketmaster. An artist presale for mailing list members opens at 10am on Tuesday 20 October, and there is a separate presale for people in York.
The announcement comes as the band prepares to embark on its biggest UK winter tour to date, Shedcember X, ahead of its self-titled seventh studio album on 8 January. A York Edition CD will include live versions of Let’s Go Dancing, Talk of the Town and Chasing Rainbows, with £1 from each sale going to York City Foundation. A fan zone stage ahead of the main show will feature up-and-coming artists from the city.
Shed Seven will play at LNER Community Stadium on Saturday 29 May 2027.
