Monmoi is a British bedroom pop artist that expresses the frustration of a generation in his new track New Breed.

Instrumentally, New Breed has something of a lounge music feel to it. It’s an easy listening vibe that hides its message of inter-generational anger. This song is a letter from a millennial to his parents’ generation, and it’s not a love letter. Yet, it doesn’t get too bogged down in the message and the refrain “we are new breed” feels like an emancipation.
Monmoi is a project that was born in lockdown so his sound is still very much freshly cut. I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops. Check out New Breed for yourself below.
