Almost A Mother is the latest single release from Bernardo, a British musician and singer-songwriter with an interesting style to her music.

Lyrically, the track was prompted by the artist eavesdropping on a conversation between a bunch of boys gossiping about a girl – Bernardo felt that the girl deserved more than being gossiped about, so decided to write this track. The music fits perfectly with this theme – there’s something quite dark and mysterious about the song, which fits well with the lyrical content. In terms of music, Almost A Mother is an indie rock track with a dreamy feel to it, the main bass melody works very well when put alongside the themes of the song.
