Lauryn Marie first featured on our blog last summer through her eloquent EP Lifetime. Now she’s back with a lovely piece of indie pop. It’s called Happy Songs.

As you might guess from the title, Happy Songs is a cheery number. Its upbeat vibe hides a story a heartbreak though, and its true sentiment comes through loud and clear during an earworm chorus. Lauryn’s gentle vocals are as beautiful as I remember and I can some wonderful progression in her sound from last summer.
Lauryn self-produced Happy Songs in her bedroom and she continues to impress me with her musical aptitude and ability to write exquisite pop. You can listen to the track below.
