Italian four-piece Eugenia Post Meridiem first hit our radar about a month ago through their dreamy track willpower. Not a band to rest on their laurels, they’re already back with a new one. The second single to be taken from their forthcoming album like i need tension, it’s called around my neck.

Around my neck opens with lively, jazzy percussion. Bass licks and keys join in, as do soft and charismatic vocals. There’s just something so new and exciting about this band’s sound. Not quite pop, not quite jazz, not quite rock, not quite electronica, they’re really rewriting the rulebook with their sound. Around my neck is the kind of song that brings a surprise in every minute.
The album is set for release 18 November and I can’t wait for it. I think Eugenia Post Meridiem could be the next big thing in the alternative scene.
