It was a year ago today that Kafka first hit my radar thanks to their album Out Of Tune. Now the Dutch alternative pop duo are back with a new single that refuses to let the Summer go just yet. It’s called Speed of Light.

Speed of Light is a bright and folky pop song. A joyous acoustic guitar opens things up, accompanied by electronic elements and the charismatic vocal harmonies that made me fall in love with Kafka last year. Nostalgia mixes with sci-fi imagery in its lyrics to create something that feels both classic yet forward-looking.
