Happy Girl opens up with a killer guitar riff, designed to get stuck in your head straight away! It sounds really groovy, oozing cool throughout. The vocals are clean and have a melodic quality – the title of the track is repeated every so often, giving the music a catchy, singalong quality – just try and listen to it without wanting to belt the lyrics out! If GAZ are anything to go by, rock certainly is not dead – it’s fantastic to hear a band combining the best bits of classic and modern rock together – the solo towards the end sounds immense!
