Jackson Reed and The Silverbirds represent a new generation of rock music, drawing my ears to attention with their exciting new release, In My Head.

In My Head follows in the time honoured tradition of rock balladry, adding a smooth quality into the mix. I felt there was something of a 70s/80s rock vibe, which works well with the more modern sound the band have curated so expertly here. However, it’s not really heavy, instead having quite a melodic vibe, which is only amplified further by the catchy chorus, which repeats the title over and over again as a refrain. It’s a really lovely sounding tune, and one that all fans of classic rock should check out!
