Amsterdam, Netherlands-based singer songwriter first hit my radar last year thanks to his storytelling track Blue Birthday. We haven’t featured any more of his music since, so I was delighted when I heard his new one. It’s called between you and me.

In contrast to the melancholy of Blue Birthday, between you and me is a heart-warming ballad. Lyrically it describes the relationship Sven has with his girlfriend and the attention to detail gives us a wonderful window into their dynamic. The expressive vocals unfold against a gentle piano melody beautifully. The track serves as a timely reminder of what a wonderful songwriter Sven is.
