We’ve featured the folky stylings of British singer-songwriter Tommy Ashby a few times – now he’s back with new track, When Love Goes Dark.

When Love Goes Dark is haunting from the off, opening with a steady piano melody and some gorgeous backing vocals that appear occasionally as the song progresses. Tommy’s vocals are rather high here, seeing him using something of a falsetto – it works really well with the style though! Odd bluesy guitar licks kick in every so often, although the focus stays mostly on the piano and vocals. You can find the video for this haunting tune here:
