Discovery: Justine Blazer

Girl Singing the Blues is American musician Justine Blazer’s latest single from her chart-topping album of the same name.

By Jane Howkins

Girl Singing the Blues has a mix of styles, including jazz, pop and the blues. Justine has a really sultry tone to her voice, drifting through the track in a gorgeous manner. It’s largely piano-based, although the song also has a suitable rhythm section and an organ, fitting the rest of the music well. The piano has a cool jazz sound, oozing cool throughout. An electric guitar solo appears towards the middle of the tune, adding a groovy feel to the track. You can find it here:
