Pip is a Birmingham-based alternative rock act that have just caught my attention thanks to their wonderfully ethereal new track forniphilia.

Forniphilia is a type of fetish where human beings are used as furniture and pip’s track of the same name delves deep into this tendency and explores its dark side. While staying accessible, there’s also a density to it, with intricate guitar melodies, cantering percussion and gentle vocals that will leave you enraptured.
Like The Doors, Talking Heads and Public Enemy, pip were formed at college and features Jo and Fi on guitar and vocals, Issy on bass and Harry on drums. If you’re a fan of the American alt rock bands like American Football and Basement then you’re going to like pip.
