Awesome foursome Goda Tungl are coming of age with ensuing release Berlin, the first song in a cycle of new singles set to be unveiled by the Oldham garage outfit on their imprint Packed Lunch. To celebrate they’ve booked in a Leeds date at Hyde Park Book Club on 12 April.
A latter-day lament, Berlin is a modern day story of unrequited romance and regret. Vocalist Scott Brown gives a cathartic recount of heartbreak on this off-beat offering of North West garage-rock. Coinciding with its release a succession of supporting dates in Manchester and Leeds have been announced which will see the band perform alongside the likes of Pleasure House and Amsterdam scenesters Pip Blom.
Goda Tungl first caught the eye with their hypnotic debut Zoo Bar, a sublime slice of slacker rock which later lead to standout performances at Dot-to-Dot Festival and Carefully Planned in 2016.
Goda Tungl are Scott Brown (Vox), Sam Holtom (Guitar), Tom Nixon (Guitar) & Harrison Boase (Percussion).
