Sarah Rose is a dream pop singer songwriter based in Winchester. If you’re a follower of Nashville Sessions here in York, you might have heard her music before, but it’s her latest single that’s put her on our radar. It’s called Heaven Sent.
By Graeme Smith
Heaven Sent is a suitably astral-feeling track. Soft instrumentals mix with ambient radio chatter before Sarah’s captivating vocals come in. The emotion is wonderfully rich in a track that makes great use of rise and fall before reaching a wonderous, cathartic climax.
Sarah’s influences range from classic singer songwriters like Kate Bush through to modern pop artists like Sia. Her sound is a fantastic mix of the two. She’s definitely one that I’ll be keeping my eye on.
